2023 RWXP 1 (Online)

RWXP is an intenstive 2 week Japanese program that is held online at Ritsumeikan University, Japan. In this program, we provide comprehensive introduction to Japanese language and culture. Program contents are Japanese Classes and Collaborative Learning that are both held everyday (see schedule below). You will have opportunities to feel and understand Japan by interacting with local Ritsumeikan BUDDYs where you can also brush up your Japanese speaking skills. Why don’t you join students from all over the world to learn Japanese from home?

Program Outline
Please note that this program is a non-degree program; we do not issue any credits.
Transcript and completion certificate will be issued at the end of the program for those that successfully completed the program.

Program Contents
Part1. Japanese Language Class
– 50 min x 3 classes x 9 days = 1,350 min = 22.5 hours
– Learn Japanese intensively and directly from experienced Japanese teachers.
– Comprehensive introduction to Japanese reading, grammar, & speaking.
Part2. Collaborative Learning Class
– 90 min x 8 days = 720 min = 12 hours
– You will have chance to interact directly with local Ritsumeikan students.
– You can practice your oral Japanese skills, learn spoken phrases and words as well as recent Japanese culture.
Part3. Tabata Training (not mandatory)
– After a day of studying Japanese, a workout time will refreshen your mind and body.
– It is an intense 4 minute workout invented by Professor Tabata at Ritsumeikan University.

1. Handwritten Essay (In Japanese preferred)
2. *Letter of Consent (Pledge)
3. *Certificate of Enrollment (an official document issued by your home university that shows you are currently enrolled in your home university.)
4. *Photo ID (must show your birth of date. Ex: passport, student ID)
5. Self-Introduction in Japanese (voice record only, no videos)
